OOSH Northern Beaches, a proudly privately owned local business, providing Before & After School Care and Vacation Care to school aged children, for four different schools. We have been established since 2001 and are continuing to grow.
The owners, Chris and Lou Hegarty, have lived in the area their entire life, and are now supported by a warm loving team, who have become a part of their family.
Chris was one of the first people on the Northern Beaches to privatise Out of School Hours Care in 2001 and has always believed to keep it “family oriented and family friendly”. To date we have and excellent Management Team who contribute to the values and philosophy of the business.
OOSH Northern Beaches adheres to the standards detailed in the National Quality Framework. New Australia-wide regulations are being implemented for Out of School Hours Care (OOSH). While the National Quality Framework provide our service with a baseline standard from which we work, the new licensing process being implemented through DoCs, will bring many changes and all our centres are presently working through the process to ensure full accreditation occurs

Chris comes from a business background have had several of his own businesses throughout his career. He began his career in childcare after being involved with the Cromer Before & after School Committee in 1996. After 5 years involved with the volunteer committee for the “Cromer Kids Club” Chris established OOSH Northern Beaches as a private business with the vision to improve Before and After School Care within the area and bring in a more stream lined operation for the “Kids Clubs”.
Chris is committed to keeping OOSH Northern Beaches a family affair as he has a strong desire to keep young minds in a warm and caring environment. He also considers his staff to be part of the OOSH Northern Beaches family.
